'This painting is the result of something that I have been thinking about for some time. I really wanted to create a piece that draws upon the natural, raw beauty of nature, whilst also raising the question of what we truly value. Set against a background of genuine gold leaf on a natural linen canvas, it is my hope that the elements of this piece work together to highlight the real treasure.'
